Night 1: Ha Noi - Lao Cai (-)

20:30 – 20:45 we pick up at the meeting point, will guide you to the train station all the way to your train cabin.

22:00 Train leaves Hanoi to Lao Cai station.

 

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sa Pa - Lao Chai - Ta van village – Sa Pa (B/ L/ D)

05:30 Am: Arrive in Lao Cai station at. After 38 km from Lao Cai to Sa Pa bout one hour's drive on a scenic route brings to Sapa

07:00 Am: Arrive in hotel. Have breakfast, short rest.

09:00 Am: Ready for trek to Lao Chai village and Tavan village.  This part offers spectacular scenery of the highest part of Hoang Lien Son mountain range and Fanxipan Peak can be seen in a nice day. Crossing the river by a suspension bridge you will challenge your feet uphill to Y Linh Ho village. Here you will visit some H’mong families, watch them doing their daily works. After picnic lunch, the trail continues up and down hill for about 2 hours as you reach to Lao Chai, a large village of the H’mong and then follows the river bank to Ta Van of the Zay people for visiting local homes, village schools, etc. You will enjoy much your cultural discovery of local ethnic peoples as well as breathtaking scenery of the Muong Hoa valley.

15:30 Pm our minivan will come to the main road of the village to pick up you back to Sa Pa central.

16:00 Pm: arrive back hotel, check in room.

Have dinner at the restaurant at the hotel.

Sleep in hotel in Sa Pa central.

 

 

Day 2: Sa Pa - Cat Cat & Sin Chai Villages – Sa Pa (B/ L/ D)

After freshen up and have breakfast in the restaurant at the hotel.

09:30 Am Walking down to the South-West of Sa Pa (around 4kms) to visit Cat Cat village of Black H'Mong people. Relax  at  the  food  of  the stunning waterfall  and  the  vestige  of a hydroelectric  power  station  that  was constructed  by the  French  during  the  colonial  time  in  Vietnam.  And then next 3km to Shin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina “. 

Walk up back to Sa Pa, have lunch and you will free time in the afternoon for leisure or shopping.

Sleep in hotel in Sa Pa.

 

Day 3: Sa Pa - Suoi Thau - Ma Tra - Ta Phin – Sa Pa – Lao Cai – Ha Noi (B/ L/ D)

After breakfast, check out the room and prepare light pack for trekking. (Keep big luggage in hotel store)

09.00 – 09.30 Our guide and jeep will pick up you to visit the Red Dzao in Suoi Thau, Ma Tra villages. 9km trekking through the local village, the rice and corn field. Picnic lunch en –route. Reach Ta Phin village where we have chance to learn about the life styles and the custom of the red Dzao minority, enjoy landscapes...then drive back to Sapa.

Have dinner before going back Lao Cai Station or after arrive in Lao Cai train station.

17:00 or 18:15 Our bus will bring you back Lao cai Station to take the train back Hanoi.

21:40: Train leaves Lao Cai station to return Hanoi.

 

Night 4: Lao Cai - Ha Noi (-)

05:30 Arrive at Tran Quy Cap Train Station. Tour finishes.

  • We use Sleeping train – Deluxe cabin with 4 beds in 1 cabin for your trip. Besides, we also have VIP cabin with only 2 beds, which is more private. You will pay extra US $30/per person/way.

 

 

Children Policy:

  • Child under 5 years old: free of charge (maximum is 1 child/room, sharing bed with parents)
  • Children from 5 to under 9 years old are charged 75% the adults tour price (sharing room with parents)
  • Children from 9 years old & above will be charged as an adult.

 

 

Things To Bring & To Know:

 

  • Warm clothes, scarf, hat because the weather in Sa Pa is pretty unpredictable. It is normally cold in September, October, November, December, January, February and March
  • Due to altitude of Sa Pa, it is sometimes foggy in December, January, February and March.
  • Trekking shoes, sun glasses, sun cream, insect repellent are also necessary. You should take cash with you in Vietnam Dong because banking system in Sa Pa sometimes doesn’t function well. US Dollar, Euro, Australia Dollar are accepted in Sa Pa.
  • You should take medicine with you although there are some chemist’s shops in Sa Pa in case you get sick.
  • Homestay’s facilities are not as in hotel in Sa Pa.
  • Old people, kids should not attend the long trek (9 kms)
  • You may stay overnight at homestay for 1st night or you may do on 2nd night. Our tour leader will inform you on bus to Sa Pa.
