Night 1: Ha Noi - Lao Cai (-)

20:30 – 20:45 we pick up at the meeting point, will guide you to the train station all the way to your cabin.

22:00 Train leave Hanoi to Lao Cai station.

 

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sa Pa – Lao Chai & Ta Van Villages (B/ L/ D)

After arriving at Lao Cai train station in the early morning around 6 AM, our driver is waiting you a signboard with your name on it and will pick you up from Lao Cai train station for a +/- 1 hour drive to Sapa town by join in bus (38 km)

7:30 Am arrival at our hotel you'll be offered a refreshing shower and enjoy breakfast on the top floor with stunning views of Sapa town. You can leave the luggage at the store luggage in our hotel. 

9:00 – 9:30 Am our local tour guide will pick up at the hotel for trekking to Lao Chai and Tavan villages. The trek leads through the village of Black Hmong people, where you can see how they weave and embroider their incredible clothes. Further along our descent we’ll enjoy the many colorful rice paddy fields until we reach Ta Van village, inhabited by the Dzay people.

We’ll have a filling lunch on the way and dinner in a traditional house in Ta Van village.

Overnight at our local homestay with the family the accommodation for the evening is clean, basic bedding and mosquito nets are provided. You will sleep on mattresses on the floor in a mixed-gender dormitory style and there a few ways to better understand a country and its people.

  

Day 2: Ta Van – Giang Ta Chai villages– Sa Pa (B/ L/ D)

After a traditional breakfast we leave Ta Van and continue our trek to visit the Red Dao people in Giang Ta Chai village. We pass some stunning scenery and a lovely waterfall along our route. As their name suggests, red is used extensively in the Red Dao women’s clothing and scarves. The terrain can be steep at times and slightly challenging. However, passengers with a moderate fitness level should be fine.

Our journey leads us along the small paths edging the rice fields, across the Muong Hoa River and lunch will be on the way at a fantastic spot.

We’ll head back to Ta Van after our second amazing trekking in the early afternoon where we enjoy our lunch before heading back to Sa Pa town.

Day 3: Cat Cat & Shin Chai Villages – Sapa – Hanoi (B/ L)

After freshen up and breakfast in the restaurant, check out and leave the luggage at store luggage at your hotel

9:30 Am Our guide will come to your hotel to pick up you to walking down to the South-West of Sapa (around 4kms) to visit Catcat village of Black H'mong people. Relax  at  the  food  of  the stunning waterfall  and  the  vestige  of a hydroelectric  power  station  that  was constructed  by the  French  during  the  colonial  time  in  Vietnam.  And then next 3km to Shin Chai, the village located at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina “.  Walk up back to Sapa, have lunch and you will free time in the afternoon for leisure or shopping.

15:00 – 15:30 Your Luxury minivan is leaving at our hotel for your depart to Hanoi.

21:00 – 21:30 arriving back your hotel. Tour finishes.

Notes:

  • We use Sleeping train – Deluxe cabin with 4 beds in 1 cabin for your trip. Besides, we also have VIP cabin with only 2 beds, which is more private. You will pay extra $US 30 per person.

 

Children Policy

  • Child under 5 years old: free of charge (maximum is 1 child/room, sharing bed with parents)
  • Children from 5 to fewer than 9 years old are charged 75% the adult’s tour price (sharing room with parents)
  • Children from 9 years old & above will be charged as an adult 

 

Things to bring & to know:

  • Warm clothes, scarf, hat, cap because the weather in Sapa is pretty unpredictable. It is normally cold in September, October, November, December, January, February and March
  • Due to altitude of Sapa, it is sometimes foggy in December, January, February and March.
  • Trekking shoes, sun glasses, sun cream, insect repellent are also necessary. You should take cash with you in Vietnam Dong because banking system in Sapa sometimes doesn’t function well. US Dollar, Euro, Australia Dollar are accepted in Sapa.
  • You should take medicine with you although there are some chemist’s shops in Sapa in case you get sick.
  • Homestay’s facilities are not as in hotel in Sapa.
  • Old people, kids should not attend the long trek (9 kms)
  • You may stay overnight at homestay for 1st night or you may do on 2nd night. Our tour leader will inform you on bus to Sapa.
