Night 1: Hanoi - Lao Cai (-)

20:30 – 20:45 we pick up at the meeting point, will guide you to the train station all the way to your train cabin.

22:00 Train leaves Hanoi to Lao Cai station.

 

Day 1: Lao Cai – Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van (B/ L/ D)

05.30 Arrive in Lao Cai station, after 38 km from Lao Cai to Sa Pa bout one hour's drive on a scenic route brings to Sapa.

Have breakfast and a morning shower. You can check in early if we have available room otherwise you can leave the luggage at store luggage at your hotel.

9:00 – 9:30 Am our local tour guide will pick up at the hotel for trekking to Lao Chai and Ta Van villages. The trek leads through the village of Black Hmong people, where you can see how they weave and embroider their incredible clothes. Further along our descent we’ll enjoy the many colorful rice paddy fields until we reach Ta Van village, inhabited by the Dzay people.

We’ll have a filling lunch on the way and dinner in a traditional house in Ta Van village.

Overnight at our local homestay with the family the accommodation for the evening is clean, basic bedding and mosquito nets are provided. You will sleep on mattresses on the floor in a mixed-gender dormitory style and there a few ways to better understand a country and its people.

 

Day 2: Tavan – Giang Ta Chai – Su Pan – Sapa – Hanoi  (B/ L)

After a traditional breakfast we leave Ta Van and continue our trek to visit the Red Dao people in Giang Ta Chai village. We pass some stunning scenery and a lovely waterfall along our route. As their name suggests, red is used extensively in the Red Dao women’s clothing and scarves. The terrain can be steep at times and slightly challenging. However, passengers with a moderate fitness level should be fine.

Our journey leads us along the small paths edging the rice fields, across the Muong Hoa River and lunch will be on the way at a fantastic spot or at restaurant in Sapa central.

You have free time to discover Sapa town on your own if you like, free shower service available at our hotel.

15:15 – 15:30 your luxury minivan is leaving at our hotel for your depart to Hanoi.

21:00 – 21:30 arriving back your hotel. Tour finished.

  • We use Sleeping train – Deluxe cabin with 4 beds in 1 cabin for your trip. Besides, we also have VIP cabin with only 2 beds, which is more private. You will pay extra US $30/per person/way.

 

Children Policy:

  • Child under 5 years old: free of charge (maximum is 1 child/room, sharing bed with parents)
  • Children from 5 to fewer than 9 years old are charged 75% the adult’s tour price (sharing room with parents)
  • Children from 9 years old & above will be charged as an adult

 

Things to Bring & To Know

  • You should bring warm clothes, scarf, hat, cap because the weather in Sapa is pretty unpredictable. It is normally cold and foggy from September to March.
  • Trekking shoes, sun glasses, sun cream, insect repellent are also necessary. You should take cash with you in Vietnam Dong because banking system in Sapa sometimes doesn’t function well. US Dollar, Euro, Australia Dollar are accepted in Sapa.
  • You should take medicine with you although there are some chemist’s shops in Sapa in case you get sick.
  • Homestay’s facilities are not as in hotel in Sapa.
  • Old people, kids should not attend the long trek (9 kms)
