Option 1: Explore Hue by road
First, we explore of Hue including visits to the Imperial Citadel where Kings of Vietnam’s last feudal dynasty ruled from 1802 to 1945, including Flag Tower, Nine Holy Cannons, Ngo Mon Gate, Thai Hoa Palace, Nine Dynastic Urns, Forbidden Purple City. Next, we continue visiting the last resting place of the 12th King Khai Dinh, who left behind a magnificent and huge burial idyllically located in Chau Chu Mountain just outside of Hue, home to a mix of eastern and western architecture. It took 11 years and builds his final resting place and was completed in 1931.
Option 2: Explore Hue by boat trip
Start from your hotel at 13.30 p.m. Short drive by taxi to boat port. Then the dragon boat Cruise will take you upstream of the peaceful Perfume River (Huong River) to visit Thien Mu Pagoda which is also home to many young people who want to try out and learn from life as a monk. History of Thien Mu Pagoda, dating back from the year 1601
We then continue boat trip to visit King Minh Mang Tomb that located on the left bank of the Huong River, which represents the perfect harmony between nature and architecture. Minh Mang King (1821–1840) boasted to have 64 princesses and 78 princes. On the way back, admire the beautiful landscapes and the sunset on the way back. Tour ends at your hotel after 4 hours visit.
